CSA Group, founded in 1919, is an internationally recognized authority in standards development, testing, and certification, and one of the world's largest Standards Development Organizations (SDOs). It is a primary developer of energy storage standards for the U.S. and Canada, represents Canada in IEC standard development, and actively promotes the adoption of IEC standards within Canada. In 2024, the CCIC-CSA Group China New Energy Testing and Certification Center was inaugurated and put into operation. Located in the Primao Mecao (Kunshan) European & American Technology Industrial Park, the new site covers nearly 8,000 square meters. It is capable of testing and certifying photovoltaic modules, inverters, PV balance of system components, controls, PV systems, charging piles, energy storage systems, batteries, and more according to North American and IEC requirements and standards.
